The balloons – just like those terrible Chinese lanterns – are downright irresponsible and selfish…I understand that details are chosen for their Instagramability but I am hoping couples consider the environmental impact of their big day (choosing local, organic food – possibly plant-based, what happens to the confetti and the confetti inside the ballons, are they considering their carbon footprint with all the guests’ travel, etc).
